About Allen Sheehan Reptiles
Like most of you visiting this site I realized my fascination with reptiles and nature in general at a very early age. As a small child growing up in Sioux City, Iowa I would collect toads, snakes, and frogs from my local area. I was in awe with how they would move, eat, grow and how they fit into the world. As I grew up so did my love for reptiles. As a teenager in Dallas, Texas I kept large breeding groups of box turtles, water turtles, lizards and many different snake species. I want to thank my parents for allowing me to pursue my passion and finding the patience in their heart and the room in their house to allow me to keep and maintain such a large group of animals.
Now that I have a house and family of my own, my collection is still a very big part of who I am. I managed to find a loving wife that was willing to share her house and time with these animals. I currently work with several species of box and water turtles, leopard and sulcata tortoises, as well as reticulated pythons, corn snakes, several milk snake species and many different rat snake species.
